How to Use a Product Sheet Before Requesting a Formal PI

Why a product sheet helps buyers compare recommended models before confirming a formal Proforma Invoice.

Updated 2026-07-17 5 min read

A product sheet is not a PI. It is a working recommendation document that helps buyers compare product options, model codes, pictures, functions and estimated prices before final order confirmation.

Why product sheets help

Project buyers often compare several models before making a final decision. A product sheet keeps those options in a professional format without turning every early discussion into a formal invoice.

What should be included

A good sheet should include product name, model code, images, key specifications, optional configurations, accessories and contact footer. It should not overload the buyer with every internal note.

When to issue the PI

The PI should come after the buyer confirms quantities, destination, trade terms, payment details and final model configuration.

Common Questions

Can a product sheet be shared as a link?

Yes. SQF can share selected products as a page so the buyer can review and request PI.

Should product sheet prices be final?

No. Final pricing, freight and terms should be confirmed in the PI.
